USE OF REACTIVE ATMOSPHERES FOR THE TREATMENT OF B.C.C. METALS.

Abstract

Tungsten test-pieces were sintered, both in hydrogen and hydrogen plus bromine atmospheres, using H.F. heating. The test-pieces were subjected to hot bend tests, hot compression tests, and tests in sealed tubes. The tentative conclusions are reported.
