ON THE SOLUTION OF THE GENERAL WATER WAVE PROBLEM,

Abstract

A method of solution is given for the general transient motion of the free surface of a liquid. No restrictions are placed upon the amplitudes of the waves nor on the shape and depth of the fluid container. In addition, the container may be moving or stationary in time. (Author)
