DENDRITIC SOLAR CELL AND ARRAY INVESTIGATION.

Abstract

The report discusses the continued development of drift field solar cells using epitaxial growth techniques and solar cell panel fabrication and array design studies. Modifications in the graphite resistance epitaxial system are discussed. Attempts to grow Si02 films directly on the diffused cell surface were made. Results of the irradiation series of 1 MeV electrons on A1-doped solar cells are presented. The module and the panel size using the 'slotted angle' design has been finalized. Design studies of arrays up to 20 square feet are presented and discussed. (Author)
