JAPAN'S RELATIONS WITH CHINA; A LOOK INTO THE FUTURE,
Abstract
Japan's increasing interest in establishing a positive and autonomous foreign policy, particularly with respect to China, is examined. Japan's reactions to China are viewed in terms of cultural and geographic proximity, economic relations, and current political contacts. Some implications for U. S. policies are also outlined.
