THEORETICAL INVESTIGATION OF GEOMAGNETICALLY TRAPPED ELECTRONS FROM HIGH-ALTITUDE NUCLEAR EXPLOSIONS.

Abstract

The report describes the results of a theoretical effort directed toward the identification of the loss mechanisms responsible for the eventual removal of electrons from the trapped population. The principal effort is directed toward the clarification of the role of the atmosphere in removing the electrons.
