PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL PROPERTIES OF JP-4 JET FUEL FOR 1963.

Abstract

This report summarizes suppliers' inspection data on 140 million barrels of JP-4 jet fuel furnished to the AF during 1963. Data summarized were reported to AF Aero Propulsion Laboratory, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, for 8 geographic districts around the world. Of 20 standard specification tests selected for inclusion in this study and reported by geographic district, nineteen show a skewed distribution and one (Reid vapor pressure) was normally distributed. A possible explanation for the skewed results is the lack of both upper and lower limits in most specification tests. (Author)
