ELECTRON EXCHANGE IN IMPACT IONIZATION OF ATOMIC HYDROGEN,

Abstract

Methods hitherto used for allowance for exchange in the treatment of electron impact ionization of atomic hydrogen are discussed. A simple method based upon Ochkur's simplification of the Born-Oppenheimer approximation is also studied and found to give very good results. (Author)
