SOIL SHOCK TUBE TECHNIQUES, PART I,

Abstract

Experiments were conducted on propagation of seismic energy in sand at higher stress levels using the sandfilled shock tube. The attempt to simulate the plastic waves that occur close to a large explosion were more successful than expected. Some examples of the results are given in this Technical Note. (Author)
