ON THE PROBLEM OF THE NATURE OF THE HARDENING OF AUSTENITE STEELS,

Abstract

A study was made of the peculiarities (connected with a degree of cold hardening) of the plastic strain in austenite steels under conditions of different temperatures. The changes in the thin crystalline structure (breaking down the blocks and the formation of microstrains) and the phase situation with plastic strain separate made it possible to evaluate the action of the factors on the strength of single-phase solutions of steel of the austenite class.
