THE MAGNETOHYDRODYNAMIC SQUEEZE FILM,

Abstract

Magnetohydrodynamic squeeze films are investigated theoretically and experimentally. The theory of magnetohydrodynamic lubrication as applied to squeeze films is extended to include fluid-inertia effects and buoyant forces. Excellent agreement is obtained between theory and experiment. (Author)
