THERMAL AND ELECTRICAL CONDUCTIVITIES OF BIOLOGICAL FLUIDS AND TISSUES.

Abstract

This report describes Geoscience's research on thermal and electrical conductivities of biological fluids and tissues. Cryogenically frozen and stored samples from the Presbyterian Medical Center in San Francisco were thawed and electrical and thermal conductivity measurements were made and the results analyzed. The thermal conductivities of beef brain and bone marrow were measured. Additional work was conducted on methods of relating the thermal conductivities of biological materials to chemical compositions. (Author)
