TABLES OF FACTORS TO FIND CONFIDENCE LIMITS FOR THETA (MTBF) ASSUMING THE POISSON FREQUENCY DISTRIBUTION,

Abstract

Tables have been constructed to find upper and lower confidence limits for MTBF at values alpha = 0.5, 0.2, 0.1, 0.05, and 0.01, and for one-sided lower confidence limits at values alpha = 0.5, 0.25, 0.1, 0.05, 0.25, 0.01, and 0.005. The tables should help reliability engineers in more easily computing confidence limits from accumulated test data. (Author)
