CALCIUM CARBONATE AND THE IN SITU PH

Abstract

The effect of hydrostatic pressure on the dissociation constants of carbonic acid and on the solubility product of calcium carbonate are used for estimating the effect of depth and of calcareous sediments on the in situ pH.
