CRITERIA FOR OPTICAL MASER AMPLIFIERS AND OSCILLATORS.

Abstract

The purpose of this report is to determine the output intensity for the case of multiple internal reflections in a ruby medium with a negative attenuation factor. In addition, it is desirable to be able to describe the phase of the output wave with respect to the input. Finally, the criteria for oscillations will be given. To do this an equivalent circuit for the laser amplifier will be formulated.
