MEASUREMENTS ON AN L-BAND POWER AMPLIFIER FOR PHASED ARRAYS,

Abstract

An L-band amplifier rated at 5 kw peak, .04 duty, 10% bandwidth, and 50 db gain has been developed outside Lincoln Laboratory. This amplifier consists of two triode and four tetrode stages and compares favorably with similarly rated TWT amplifiers, when size, weight and operating voltages are compared. Measurements of the amplifier's complex transfer function were made at Lincoln Laboratory. (Author)
