RESEARCH ON ONE MILLIMETER C. W. CARCINOTRON.

Abstract

New performances of 'O-type' Carcinotron delivering an C.W. output power of one to one and half watt at wavelengths in the neighbourhood of one millimeter (300 KMc/s) have been obtained. Tubes, in depressed collector operation, have given, at these frequencies, an efficiency of the order of 0.6 per cent. A bandwidth of 3 per cent (900 Mc/s) has been covered with a power of 500 milliwatts. (Author)
