APPLICATION OF SEMI-CONDUCTOR DEVICES TO HIGH POWER DUPLEXERS.

Abstract

The work performed was circuit analysis and power handling capability of PIN diodes for use in C-Band. The 'T' model phase shifter provided the largest phase shift per diode, but was capable of duplexing less than one tenth the required power level. The 'B' model phase shifter did not provide enough phase shift to be of use as a duplexer. The 'W' and 'H' model phase shifters require high power tests before evaluation can be performed. The TR type switch shows some signs of promise. Diode junction temperature tests were performed. (Author)
