FREE VIBRATION OF CONTINUOUS SKIN-STRINGER PANELS WITH NON-UNIFORM STRINGER SPACING AND PANEL THICKNESS.

Abstract

The method of transfer matrices is employed to obtain the natural frequencies and mode shapes of an array of skin panels which are continuous over supporting stringers. The stringer spacing may be non-uniform and individual panels and stringers may vary from panel to panel. Donnell's equations for cylindrical shells are used in the analysis of curved panel systems. Numerical results are given for systems of three flat panels and of six flat panels. (Author)
