PRODUCTION ENGINEERING MEASURE TO INVESTIGATE PROPERTIES OF INDIUM ANTIMONIDE AND TO PROVIDE 801-C6 INFRARED DETECTORS.

Abstract

The production phase is in progress with its completion scheduled to occur in March 1965. Due to relocation of facilities a revised delivery schedule was prepared, submitted and approved. Average heat leak c ange on detectors monitored for 5600 hours is only 0.03 watts; indicative of good vacuum retention. Additional vacuum retention data and electrical parameter information will be obtained in a shelf life test scheduled to start in February. Substrate cooling during placement of cold shields and modified SiO deposition methods have resulted in increased overall yields. (Author)
