A BACKSCATTER NEPHELOMETER.

Abstract

A device to measure the backscatter of optical radiation by fog is described. The integrated scattering coefficient can be measured over the range 178 < phi < 179.3 deg in the spectral region of 0.64 to 1.07 microns. Equations relating the integrated scattering coefficient and the system parameters are presented. (Author)
