THE NUMERICAL INTEGRATION OF THE EQUATIONS OF MOTION OF A VISCOUS FLUID,

Abstract

The steady state Navier-Stokes equations are solved numerically for the inlet region of a straight channel for values of Reynolds number from 0 to 500. Various properties of the flow are discussed and the results compared with previous approximate solutions for large R. The case R = O is also solved analytically. (Author)
