Abstract
A numerical error was discovered in the calculations of the inverse eighth power dispersion energy, B(sub 8)/R to the 8th power, as reported earlier ('Molecular Physics' 2:229 (1959)). The corrected result agrees with the value of Pauling and Beach ('Phys. Rev.' 47:686 (1935)).
