SUPERCONDUCTING NUCLEAR PARTICLE DETECTOR.

Abstract

Electron-electron and electron-phonon interactions in thin films are discussed. Digital computer solutions were carried out for the nonlinear partial differential equation that results if lattice heat is included in the calculations. A series of indium films was evaporated on quartz and glass discs, and used to examine the tentative conclusion that the lattice plays no significant role in the dynamics of alpha detection. A series of film testing probes was constructed and tested.
