MOTION OF AN ARTIFICIAL SATELLITE IN THE NORMAL GRAVITATIONAL FIELD OF THE EARTH.

Abstract

The motion of an artificial satellite in the normal gravitational field of the earth is analyzed without taking account of the air resistance or the anomalies of the force of gravitation. The results can be used for the computation of orbits of high altitude satellites and also for the qualitative analysis of the effect of the earth's oblateness on the motion of satellites.
