METHODOLOGY AND CRITERIA FOR NATIONAL AIRPORT PLANNING.

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to (1) analyze the federal interest and responsibilities in airport planning, (2) determine the objectives that FAA should serve in formulating the National Airport Plan, (3) develop a generally applicable methodology for determining the airport requirements of particular communities and areas, and (4) recommend an improved methodology and criteria for the formulation of the National Airport Plan and for establishing priorities in federal financial aid.
