LATTICE CONSTANTS OF ORTHOFERRITES,
Abstract
The lattice parameters of the orthoferrites RFeO3, where R is one of the trivalent rare earth ions Y,Tb,Dy, Ho,Eu,Tm,Yb, and Lu, are calculated using Cohen's analytical method. The parameters, a and c, vary regularly with the atomic number (or the ionic radius) of R, however the b parameter remains almost constant. (Author)
