STUDIES ON ORTHOFERRITES AT THE WEIZMANN INSTITUTE,

Abstract

The Curie point, lattice constants sublattice magnetization, spontaneous moment and the nonlinear susceptibility have been measured on the compounds RFeO3 with R Yittrium or a Rare Earth. Conclusions are derived concerning the coupling between Rare Earth and Iron ions and the origin of weak ferromagnetion in these materials. (Author)
