THE MOTION OF A SPAR BUOY IN SWELL. PART 2

Abstract

Equations of motion are given below which take account of all the pressure forces with high accuracy, but completely neglect drag forces. The results of the previous simplified study of the vertical motion are confirmed; the principal new result is the amount of the horizontal force and its torque.
