AN EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF STRESSES AT THE INTERFACE OF PROPELLANT GRAINS AND MOTOR CASES DUE TO THERMAL LOADING OF THE SHRINKAGE TYPE.

Abstract

Tests are reported which show that, using the bonding knife-edged technique, the same distributions of stresses can be obtained in a rectangular two-dimensional rubber plate bonded to a metal strip, as in the central plane of a square slab with the same ratio of height to length as the rubber specimen.
