Calculation of Processes in the Combustion Chamber and Nozzle of a Liquid-Propellant Rocket Engine

Abstract

The book is devoted to questions of combustion and discharge at high temperatures in a liquid-propellant rocket engine. It gives the detailed technique for the thermodynamic calculation of the working process, illustrated by the solution of a series of practical problems. The book offers the bases for the possibility of applying a graphical method for calculating the parameters of the liquid-propellant rocket engine, which greatly facilitates this calculation. It gives a detailed exposition of the technique of constructing such nomograms. Two nomograms for two types of propellant, constructed by the author, are appended at the end of the book.
