METHODS FOR LOWER BOUNDS TO FREQUENCIES OF CONTINUOUS ELASTIC SYSTEMS,

Abstract

Several methods are developed for the calculation of rigorous lower bounds for the frequencies of continuous linear elastic systems in free vibration. The procedures are applied to obtain numerical bounds for problems arising in beam theory. (Author)
