ORGANIC MATERIALS FOR ELECTRONIC APPLICATIONS.

Abstract

The work program will consist of a study of the dielectric properties of thin polymeric organic films, an investigation of conduction mechanisms in metal chelate polymers, and a study of electrical contacts to implement the other studies. Glow-discharge polymerized (GDP) thin films were successfully applied as thin insulating layers on magnetic memory planes. Dielectric evaluation studies, including the determination of dielectric constant, refractive index, resistivity, and elevated temperature storage were initiated on GDP styrene deposited on glass substrates. Variations in the conditions of formation of GDP styrene were included.
