DETERMINATION OF THE RELATIONSHIP OF CONSTRICTION PRESSURE LOSS TO THE REEXPANSION LOSS IN SUDDEN REDUCTION OF CROSSSECTIONAL AREA FOR A SINGLE PHASE FLUID FLOW.

Abstract

The purpose of the thesis is to investigate the relative losses in pipes for sudden contraction of a single phase fluid. A sudden contraction is defined as an immediate reduction in the flow cross sectional area. The objectives are to determine the losses of a sudden contraction by experimental tests and correlate these losses with the various flow parameters. (Author)
