PLASTICITY THEORY AND MULTIPOLAR CONTINUUM MECHANICS.

Abstract

In this paper, it is shown that the nonlinear theory of an elastic-plastic continuum in the form developed by Green and Naghdi (1965) may also be deduced as a special case of the theory of multipolar continuum mechanics (Green and Rivlin, 1964). (Author)
