Abstract
The generation is reported of repetitive, high-power pulses by repeated Q-switching of a continuously pumped YAlG:Nd laser. The results are discussed of an experimental and theoretical study of Yb(3+) in Yttrium Aluminum and Yttrium Gallium Garnet. (Author)
