A FOUR CHANNEL OSCILLOSCOPE RECORDING SYSTEM,

Abstract

A control unit using unique solid state circuits forms the basis of a compact, versatile recording system. It is used with an oscilloscope, a camera, and piezoelectric gages to record underwater explosion pressures. The major functions performed by the control unit are to: generate a precise calibration step; unshort and connect the firing line; fire the charge; trigger the oscilloscope; provide delays (0-1 sec) for delaying the charge firing or oscilloscope triggering; and provide gage cable terminations. Procedures for calibrating and using the system with typical oscilloscopes and cameras are discussed. (Author)
