THE ROLE OF POLITICAL ORGANIZATIONS IN INDONESIA,

Abstract

The paper sketches the role of organized groups in contemporary Indonesia and assesses their likely influence on the direction of political developments in what is termed 'the world's geographically least integrated major state.' It is believed that due to the size of its population, natural resources, and strategic importance, Indonesia is likely to become an area of major importance and a potential trouble-spot.
