DETERMINING WEAR RESISTANCE OF FRICTION COUPLINGS BY THE METHOD OF CONSUMING WORKING MEDIUM THROUGH THE SLOTS BETWEEN THE FRICTION SURFACES,

Abstract

A new method is considered for estimating the wearresistance of material by determining the expenditure. The method is based on determination of the variation in the initial expenditure of working substance through gaps between rubbing surfaces in the process of wear. The working substance may be air, various gases, lubricating oils and other fluids. (Author)
