Abstract

The objective of the human factors engineering (HFE) program is to assure that the principles procedures and criteria of HFE are applied during all phases of system research, development, test, and evaluation (RDT and E). The objective requires the integration and application of HFE to equipment and facilities design, operational and maintenance requirements, task and skill requirements, training, training devices and job aids. The purpose of the standard is twofold: (a) To define the human factors engineering requirements applicable when contto define the human factors engineering requirements applicable when contractors respond to AMC Requests for Proposals (RFP).; and (b) To define the human factors engineering requirements applicable during system research, development, test and evaluation.
