FAA HIGH GAIN AIR/GROUND/AIR VHF/UHF TROPOSCATTER SYSTEM.
Abstract
This report contains a brief history of experimentation and development effort conducted by the FAA and others in air/ground/air troposcatter communications systems and information as to the Systems Research and Development Service future program plans in this area. This report also contains a description of the FAA high gain system hardware with siting information necessary for proper operation. A method for approximating the reliable communications ranges to be achieved from these facilities is also included. (Author)
