MAGNETIC MOMENT TESTING OF SATELLITES,

Abstract

This report concerns procedures for determining the equivalent magnetic dipole of satellites. A bar magnet was used to simulate the magnetism of a satellite. Data was collected using present satellite test procedures. Results were plotted and compared with mathematically derived curves. Curves similar to these can be used in conjunction with certain test procedures to determine the equivalent magnetic dipole of satellites. (Author)
