TERMINATED EXPLODING WIRE ENERGY SOURCE

Abstract

By placing a discharge or 'dump' tube across an exploding bridgewire load, it is possible to by-pass the electrical energy and terminate the explosion of the wire. The dump tube is triggered by a signal derived from the energy removed from the storage capacitor.
