INVESTIGATION OF LIQUIDS AND SOLIDS AT LOW TEMPERATURES.

Abstract

(A) Electron-Scattering Program: The aim of this program was to design and build an apparatus which would be used for study of the distribution of the electric charge in deformed atomic nuclei. This study was made by scattering high energy electrons from a system of oriented nuclei. (b) Investigation of Liquids and Solids at Low Temperatures: The aim of this program was to search for the existence of 'zero-sound' in liquid He(3) at low temperatures.
