THE ENRICHMENT AND DETERMINATION OF TRITIUM IN WATER.

Abstract

The various methods that have been used for the enrichment of tritium are reviewed. The developments in liquid scintillation spectrometry are presented. In addition, the other methods that are used for the determination of tritium are reviewed and compared with liquid scintillation spectrometry. In an attempt to find a more sensitive and a more convenient method for the determination of tritium in large volumes of water, the preferential adsorption of tritiated water by various materials is investigated.
