INFRARED TRANSMITTANCE OF OPTICAL MATERIALS AT LOW TEMPERATURES.

Abstract

Transmittance measurements of a variety of infrared optical materials were made at approximate temperatures of 50K, 85K, and 300K in the 1.0-micron to 15.0-micron wavelength region. The effects of these low temperatures on transmittance are presented in the form of curves, with transmittance as a function of wavelength. A change in external transmittance was measured for some materials. (Author)
