OBSERVATIONS ON THE FIBRINOLYTIC ACTIVITY OF PLAGUE AND PSEUDOTUBERCULOSIS BACILLI,

Abstract

Conclusions: Fibrinolytic activity is one of the rather constant properties of the plague microbe. The fibrinolytic activity of virulent and avirulent strains of the plague microbe are the same. A correlation between fibrinolytic activity and virulence in the plague microbe is absent. The pseudotuberculosis microbe does not possess fibrinolytic properties. The fibrinolytic test may be used as one of the methods for the differentiation of the plague and pseudotuberculosis microbes. (Author)
