PRODUCTION ENGINEERING MEASURE FOR CAPACITORS, FEED-THROUGH, SOLID ELECTROLYTE TANTALUM PELLET.

Abstract

The additional failures on the restarted life test pointed out the necessity of manufacturing a new lot of preproduction samples incorporating process changes and improvements in order to provide units to meet the revised life test circuit impedance requirement which is many times more severe a test than the original SCL-6423 specification requirement. Since testing has not started, no definite conclusions can be drawn on the results of the process changes or the new sample lot. However, the very minimum of process and aging losses to the end of this quarter indicate that the new sample lot will run at a better yield than previous lots, even with the prolonged low impedance aging cycle.
