ELLIPTICAL HOLE WITH CRACKS,
Abstract
The author considers the problem of the brittle breakdown of a plate weakened by an arbitrary elliptical hole with two balanced cracks in the case of 'all-round' tension of a plate. G. I. Barenblatt's method was used to obtain a formula for the determination of the value of the critical load. (Author)
