DEVELOPMENT AND USAGE OF THE ROCKET TRAJECTORY PROGRAM,

Abstract

Rocket simulates trajectories of aerospace vehicles, numerically integrates the set of differential equations of motion of the vehicle specified, calculates automatically such aspects as earth gravitational and rotational effects, traces the trajectory of a vehicle as a function of time, and provides information on the performance during flight. The program can print statements on special qualities and investigate a number of variations on a given trajectory in a single run. This paper discusses the purpose of the program and its capabilities. Suggestions are made on the development of general-purpose computer programs.
