HIGH-DENSITY PLASMAS.

Abstract

The resistivity of high-density plasmas for use in highcurrent switches is being studied. This report concerns the plasma drop and its dependence on current. Data obtained from tests conducted on two diodes at peak current ranges from approximately 12,500 to 75,000 amperes at hydrogen gas pressures of 0.5, 1.0, and 5.0 millimeters are discussed. (Author)
